My students have been having some trouble with the double phonograms.  So, I decided to create some worksheets to help them know when to use which phonogram.

Er, Ir, Ur, Ear, Wor Worksheet- students make a list of all the words they can think of under each phonogram.

ay and ai worksheet, oy and oi worksheet, er, ir, ur, ear, wor worksheet- Students look at the pictures and figure out what they are.  Then they write the name of the picture on the line.  Then they cut on the dotted line and sort the pictures by phonogram.

ay and ai, oy and oi, er, ir, ur, ear, wor worksheets have the students read the sentence and put the correct word in the blank of the sentence.

Silly Bear's Sight Word Addition Games
Mar

2012

This set of sight word addition games contains all but a few Dolch sight words, pre-primer through third grade.  It's a great way for students to practice sight words and addition facts at the same time!

Students can play these games in groups of 2 or more.  They can use the same list of sight words, or differentiate play by using the most appropriate list for each student's reading level.  I plan to use these games for whole group play, with everyone playing in teams of 2 or 3.  I also plan to use them in my literacy center and as take home practice.  For these uses, I have included versions of the games with colored graphics that can be laminated and colored with dry erase markers.

I have been a member of TPT for about 3 years and I am venturing to expand. I am not currently teaching this year; however, I have taught Kindergarten and middle school language arts; including both gifted and special education programs. I love developing lessons & I am an artist (murals, graphic design, & clip art) at heart. I have only recently begun putting my art up for sale and I have had a huge response. I hope to continue to help teachers make lessons more meaningful in their classrooms by offering many resources. I create lessons for grades K-8 and I am looking forward to what the future may hold.

Adorable classroom jobs signs with job responsibility descriptions.  These will add so much to your classroom decor and are a great visual to remind students what job they are performing for the week.  You could even take a picture of each student, upload them, prinit them out and then use the pictures next to their job for that week.  Many different options!

Theme Posters
Mar

These theme posters can be printed out on cardstock and laminated anywhere in your room.  You can have students write the names of books they read that meet the theme on a sticky note and post it underneath the appropriate theme.  Another idea is to print out the cover of books in color, cut and laminate them and place them under the corresponding theme.  Many options.  Such a cute display.
