Reading A to Z - 56 Activities for Guided Reading Books
Jun

If you use readingatoz.com, this is for you! Included are activities that go with 56 of the books that I use regularly with guided reading groups.

Some are fill in the blanks, but most are short answer activities that I Iet them do in pairs initially and then later - on their own. I think these are a MUCH BETTER assessment than the multiple choice test that the site provides. I use these for many things, but MOSTLY to keep them on a task while I move on to the next reading group.

Writing - Quick Writes; Primary Writing; Common Core Writing; Foldables

This is a BUNDLE for 6 months of Quick Writes. Please see the indidvidual sets for previews of each month.

We use these as weekly quick writes for morning work. After we spend some time working on answering in complete sentences, students are able to write one or two sentences to quickly respond to the prompts. Students get these on Monday and keep them in their writing folders. I collect them on Friday. They keep a writing rubric in their writing folders so they know what I am looking for and what will be graded each month.

There’s also a blank form to use in case you want to create your own prompts instead of using the given prompts.

August - December will be added over the next two months. Purchase now and get the next 5 months included with this purchase. The price will increase as more months are added.
Thanks so much for taking a look to see if these will work for you!

Early Finishers Learning Packet/ Magazine Fun Activities! End of the Year!

Hello Teachers,

This is a learning packet / magazine filled with activites for your students! This product will encourage your students to be creative and share their ideas with friends! This is the color ink version. There is also one posted in black ink.

Years ago, my learning support class wrote a magazine titled, For Kids Only. They wrote their own stories, jokes, movie reviews, interviews, and did their own illustrations. It became so popular in our school district that we sold it and made $500.00 which was donated  to The Make-A -Wish Foundation. We were able to make one child's dream come true to visit Disney World with his family. It was so uplifting! We also planted a tree in the schoolyard and put the magazine in the time caspule at our school. An article was written about our accomplishment in the local paper and a picture was taken of the class.  They were so proud!

I decided to bring the magazine back to life and what better way to do it than posting it on Teachers Notebook! I made alot of revisions and added new characters. I hope your students enjoy it!

Included:  Friend interviews, teacher interviews, language arts, math, movie reviews, acrostic poetry, word line searches, mystery words, kidagories, shapes, blends, story writing, secret codes, hidden animal names, family, and much more.

Thanks for stopping by and come back often for freebies, new products, sales, and giveaways.

Have computers but need some teacher curated websites?
Want students to focus on one topic and be accountable?

Give Website Bingo a try! These are independent study bingo cards on a variety of topics that give students choice in vetted websites and an assignment that makes them accountable! Assign a row, column or the whole card. No emails or personal information needed! Links will be tested regularly!

Students can access these websites in various ways:
Print a copy of grids for students to type in the websites themselves.
Put the PDF on your website, student click on the links.
Put PDF on a class sharing site such as Edmodo or My Big Campus.

Accountability: Students can create a Website Bingo Journal where they print screen shots of their documentation (i.e. high score). Journal labels are included. I teach my students how to use the snipping tool and how to print their work for the journal or go paperless by having students post to a file sharing site like www.dropitto.me or class social media site like www.edmodo.com .
